The silhouette of the Denim Cobrax corset reflects Vivienne Westwood's reinterpretation of the classic corset, a garment once worn by the high society women of eighteenth-century salon culture. The design revives the hand-drawn Vivienne Westwood Signature tartan, first introduced in the Autumn-Winter 2005 Red Label collection, reminiscent of the house's signature punk style.
